This abandoned meat processing plant was purchased in January 2016 by Jesse Pinkman off the books for a lump cash sum of $50,000. It is located on the outskirts of Maurtia Falls, Pennsylvania. The plant is 30,000 square feet in the middle of a 10-acre property. It ceased operation in 2003 and has sat empty since. Most of the equipment is nonfunctional, but the plant has been fitted with a new electrical generator and its refrigeration system has been restored. This property mostly serves as a location for various gangs in Maurtia Falls to dump the bodies of murder victims. In a no-questions-asked arrangement, for a fee, corpses may be left in the meat locker at any time and their disposal is guaranteed within 24 hours. The fee is used to pay a team of armed guards, who monitor movement on the property to ensure it isn't discovered by police. The entire purpose of this (unbeknownst to anyone but Jesse) is to provide food to Ken Kaneki, who is incapable of eating anything but human flesh. Ken has unrestricted access to the meat locker at all times. |
