What would you rather I call it? The interim? Between the acting of a dreadful thing and the first motion, all the interim is like a phantasma, or a hideous dream.
[ Dorian has his Complete Quotes Of Shakespeare book and dammit, he's pretentious enough to keep on using it. ]
Funny. Because a group of like-minded individuals with a similar goal sounds like the potential for fun. When you add in valiant attempts at changing the nature of this place to begin with (something is rotten in the state of Heropa!), that only furthers my belief that the Constellation's overall goal is a rollicking good time!
Or, at least, that the goal of this place for ME is fun.
[ it also doesn't hurt that Dorian....has exactly the barest minimum of faith in the Constellation and is viewing this more as a way to make alliances than anything remotely world-changing. ]
I'm not suggesting impatience. I'm suggesting we get to work with preliminaries. Impatience means giving yourself away to the enemy too early. Getting everything in place is a very different thing.
But I do know that we got pulled into this for a reason, and even if it's for stupid reasons, the guy that did all the talking isn't just going to pull anyone in for the hell of it. He isn't an idiot.
[ Congrats, Dooku, that is probably the only nice thing Adachi will ever say about you. ]
This is going to be an expensive operation. You're going to want a firm financial base to build off of. A legitimate financial base. Operations like these have been brought down before by making financial missteps.
Our funding is already well-established, and carefully concealed. But there is always room for more. A diversified financial base would be more difficult to target.
Do you have any suggestions?
['Antares' knows that 'Prospero' wasn't exactly recruited for his heavy assault skills.]
I am sure you would. However, I am also sure you can appreciate the need for discretion in this organization. We cannot reveal all our assets to a member. Especially not a Satellite.

[ yes, Dorian did seriously type out three exclamation points. ]
The magician himself! Criminality acquaints a man with strange bedfellows.
[ someone stop him, he is having way too much fun. ]

Maybe we shouldn't openly call it "criminality."

We get our marching orders when we get them. Didn't anyone ever tell you patience is a virtue?
[ Says the person that is easily bored, lazy, and impatient. ]

Even though some of us got roped in earlier, we're still all kinda new to this thing. No one's going to be coming after us yet.

Fine. Well, even if you do believe in him, think about that hacker that did that data-dump the other week.

Our first task is to expand our resources and explore new allies. We will not launch any ambitious operations until our position is secure.

Undoubtedly. Though I'd want to take a look at what you already have, first.
