As I don't believe I'm eligible, I would rather volunteer to be one of your aforementioned "science people". I would love to study whatever samples that come my way.
Another route to take would be to find out who did donate their samples. A list of who among us are potentially vulnerable would be an asset if something were to happen with them.
You're only a science people if the Stars say you are. They tell me you are, you'll get a sample if I get one.
That'll have to go through the Stars, too. They're the ones with the list of everyone we can call on. Anyone who has donate should let them know.

Speaking as self-professed "Science People": I'm personally curious about these clone kits and, Stars willing, would like a kit, or whatever access they'll grant.
You'll have to take me at my word in this universe, but I have a PHD in nuclear physics, an honorary doctorate in biochemistry, as well as practical experience in robotics, mechanical engineering and general expertise in multiple scientific fields.
