Previous GAME SETTING:
In the present day, there exists an island city off the western coast of Canada - Siren's Port. For the past century, no one has been able to leave the island. The Core, a machine that appears both magical and technological in nature, draws people to the island from this world and others. It is also responsible for creating the Darkness, a nightly phenomenon that sees the entire island turn into a rotting wasteland filled with monsters that only disappear at daybreak. No one can control the Core, and the city is torn between two factions: AGI and SERO, megacorporations who have built their followings not only through business but through their promises to deal with the Core issue. AGI, responsible for the entertainment industry as well as the slave trade, has sworn to destroy the Core. SERO, the pharmaceutical and technological giant with questionable ethics, wishes to study and repair the Core. The two factions are constantly at battle, which is especially dangerous because the Core has also gifted everyone on the island with superpowers. Caught in the middle of all this are the Newcomers from other worlds, despised by the xenophobic population and blamed for nearly everything that goes wrong.Previous GAME CR:

Jesse arrived in Siren's Port straight from Mexico, elated to be free from slavery to the Cartel and to be living in a place full of superheroes. The magic didn't last long, though, because he was also forced to face the reality of supervillains. A humiliating encounter with Sylar was enough to break his hope of creating a better life for himself.
Although intent on remaining sober, he immediately went to work on scraping together a new meth lab. After discovering some of Joker's abandoned laboratories, he cooked up a new product: a mixture of meth and Joker's toxin that he called "Green Glass". He built a network of dealers and began distributing the drug around the island.
Crime paid; he managed to earn enough in only a few weeks to buy himself a modest house and fill it with state-of-the-art electronics. Lisbeth Salander, his sometimes-lover, moved in when she lost her apartment. As his superpower began to develop, Jesse inadvertently helped her out by stealing her ability to breathe fire when it was causing her discomfort.
Jesse also began working at Merlotte's as a DJ, getting along with his boss, Sam Merlotte, surprisingly well despite being caught in a fistfight with John Winchester during work hours. John alleged that Jesse was making the moves on his wife, Mary, and although he was correct, Sam stood up in Jesse's defense.
Jesse had a bad habit of repeatedly getting into trouble, though. Sylar and Peter Petrelli got a verbal smackdown from him over the network and, thanks to that, he nearly got his brains picked through by Sylar. He saved himself by accidentally relieving the serial killer of his telekinesis at the last minute. At first he had no idea why Sylar ran away, but he later put two and two together when Mary suggested he might have a power-nulling ability and then Lisbeth informed him that her powers had somehow swapped from fire-breathing to... telekinesis.
Jesse took to practicing this power on drug addicts around town, particularly those who owed him money. Around the same time, he became somewhat reclusive, afraid to touch people because he couldn't yet control himself. It took about a month before he felt comfortable enough to resume his normal routine... and then he began to consider how to go about making a profit from his ability. By then, he had built quite an inventory of superpowers to dispense.
Then the Culpa Flu struck. Because it was disease which was exacerbated by feelings of guilt, Jesse was one of the hardest-hit victims, falling ill early and lingering in a miserable state of near-death for the duration. He most likely would have died if Mr. White hadn't arrived suddenly, pushing Jesse to stay alive out of spite. Walt joined the shady SERO corporation just to ensure a cure for Jesse, and although he and Lisbeth administered it to Jesse against his will, Jesse forgave the transgression once he learned the (supposed) truth about the future of their partnership back home.
However, Jesse felt an urgency to return to work and prove himself as a solo crime lord. He went back to the meth lab as soon as he'd recovered - only to be discovered and beaten by Joker, the owner of the site. In desperation, Jesse swore to help Joker at some point in the future and was allowed to live. Following the incident, he received aid from Castiel and was heavily questioned by Mary, who he distracted with a confession about his drug addiction as an excuse for wanting to avoid authorities.
Jesse began a partnership with Mr. Gold, arranging for use of his shop space to begin a power-trading business. He also assisted Anya Lehnsherr with the discovery of her power when she questioned him about Voids. Lisbeth Salander and Mary Winchester (two of his close friends/lovers) disappeared suddenly, sending Jesse into a panic that resulted in a drug relapse. When Lisbeth returned, he confessed his love to her. To lift spirits after the Newcomer Hunt (a Hunger Games-type event hosted by a vicious local), he threw a 4th of July beach party, during which he also introduced Lisbeth to meth. And in retaliation for the Hunt, Jesse secretly began a spree of power-stealing from inebriated locals, prompting an investigation into whether alcohol can permanently null powers. Walt realized something was wrong and confronted Jesse, which resulted in a fistfight and the discovery of Walt's power.
The second Newcomer Hunt sent Jesse (among many others) out for revenge. Sadly, with no useful battle skills, he was stuck driving a getaway car on the night of the attack on the grounds. He did, however, provide useful powers to Mary and Nill. He also began financing Lois Lane's Newcomer News, even providing her with studio space using some of his connections in the shadier neighborhoods. His ongoing power-stealing at college parties and clubs had some negative consequences, spawning an investigation into the effects of liquor on superpowers, but no one yet linked him to the phenomenon.
Things almost began to look promising for Jesse before Gus Fring, his boss from back home, arrived. In a tense encounter, Gus revealed certain key details about their future that left Jesse questioning everything he's ever known about his mentor and partner, Walter White. Jesse swore fealty to Gus all over again, and even gave him the power of near-invincibility to protect him from Walt. But the news left him broken and he backslid further, using so heavily that he was barely coherent for the arrival of a second acquaintance from New Mexico: his dead girlfriend, Jane, the woman he believes he killed. This, at least, prompted him to go straight to rehab.
Jesse completed a month in rehab before being checked out by Walter White and invited to join him at SERO as an assistant chemist, a position which Jesse accepted for the sole purpose of keeping a close eye on his mentor. Meanwhile, Walt's wife Skyler called Jesse out as a drug dealer publicly on the network, which prompted Gus to push Jesse to handle the situation. Jesse managed to charm her with a story about how Walt saved him from drug addiction, earning an apology for her earlier accusation. At home, Jesse enjoyed a week as a woman and was reunited with Jane - who once again appeared in the baseball diamond without memories. Choosing a different tactic this time, he and Lisbeth helped Jane with her heroin withdrawal at home.
As if in answer to Jesse's prayers, his favoritefather-figurepartner, Mike, arrived in Siren's Port, which helped Jesse keep a cool head through the challenges he faced in the following weeks. Meowth practically blackmailed Jesse for a power. Lisbeth, Mary, and Nill were all attacked by a mysterious creature. Mary went into a coma, forcing Jesse to deal with long-time rival John Winchester and reveal his ability to the man most likely to use it against him. Jesse, in order to make sure this shit wouldn't happen again, had to track down Xigbar and make a deal with him. And, at home, relations between Jane and Lisbeth and Jesse remained strained, despite Jesse's best efforts to fix the problem by throwing money at it and buying a mansion for all of them to live in comfortably. At least everything with Walt and SERO continued to go smoothly, and Gus appeared to be warming up to Jesse (the keyword there being "appeared").
Jesse was stunned when Castiel unleashed his wrath upon the sinners of the city but chose to spare him - supposedly because of Jesse's remorse and good intentions. This came as a huge shock to Jesse, who has been operating for a long time under the assumption that he's irredeemably evil. Jesse pleaded for Walt's life to be spared, as well, though he hasn't forgiven or forgotten Walt's actions back home. The entire experience left Jesse shaken and confused about what he's doing and where he's going. Meanwhile, another of Jesse's mistakes caught up to him, as Alice Cullen's husband Jasper appeared in the city and decided to make a meal of Jesse in revenge for sleeping with his wife. Jesse defeated Jasper by stealing away his vampirism, but not in time to save himself from severe injury. He was saved by Walt, who decided to take advantage of Jesse's vulnerability to use him as a test subject for a new, "clean" drug.
Walt's new drug was a surprising blessing, keeping Jesse placid during a whole slew of difficult encounters. Alice continuously pushed for the return of her husband's powers, which hurt and frustrated Jesse, who was Jasper's victim and continued to fear for his life. Yosuke also came to Jesse with several large and belligerent demands, which Jesse managed to coolly twist around into his favor. He arranged for a new, more careful solution to stealing powers by taking advantage of Éponine Thénardier's pretty looks and thirst for riches, granting her the ability to erase memories so that she could assist him by luring targets into a hotel room, where Jesse would be waiting to steal from them.
The business was interrupted when a Core event suddenly catapulted all Newcomers back in time. Jesse and Lisbeth found each other standing in a field in 1918 but were soon separated when American forces took Jesse away. He endured rounds of questioning until the explosion, then found shelter from the Darkness underground. Alice found him after Jasper died and begged him to take her vampirism away, too. Jesse, racked with guilt, complied.
When the Core brought them back to the present, Jesse became somewhat reclusive in social matters and shifted his focus to his work at SERO and his plans to obtain more powers. Then, on one unremarkable day while he was on his way home from work, he disappeared suddenly from the Port to return to his own world.
Jesse's time in the city of Siren's Port did very little to affect his personality, but it did prepare him for dealing with incredible circumstances and superpowers. His own superpower has become highly important to him as a tool for survival and an alternative to the drug trade - which, up until now, was the only thing he was really good at. He came to accept it as a part of him, and when he becomes aware of it again, he will seek to replicate it.
